WEATHER/FIELD UPDATE 1/25/24

TEAM LEADERS:

We have monitored weather, and all playing surfaces since this past Sunday, January 21st.

The weather forecast is fluctuating by the hour, however it is almost certain our area will receive more rain on Friday evening and into Saturday morning.

As of yesterday (and today) 5 of our 6 fields are currently playable. We forecast by Friday all six fields will be playable. With expected further rain,  we forecast all 5 of the currently playable fields will be playable throughout the weekend.  We do anticipate some damage to the surfaces, and have decided to proceed with the weekend's games with that in mind.

We do anticipate good weather Saturday afternoon, and Sunday and no further complications throughout the weekend.

For further context: An "unplayable" surface is one in which it is "unsafe" or the surface is "non functional" such that the ball will not travel or athletes cannot sufficiently maneuver.  Since these matches are "showcases" we do want to keep in mind certain standards for "playable", so that athletes and scouts time is well spent.

We are currently working to create a "modified" schedule in case 1 or 2 fields become "unplayable" with additional rain forecasted Friday night.  We will be posting this information on Friday.  We are keeping in mind in this order:

1. Athlete best interest for recovery
2. Travel
3. Coach Conflicts
